Neil Gaiman teams up with Doctor Who yet again!

Matt Smith spoke at London’s MCM Expo Comic Con and says that he thought the new episode would mark a departure from the older one.

‘No, it’s very different,’ Smith said. ‘But again I think it will be a fan’s favourite because, well, without giving anything away, it just will be, because there’s something in it….. Neil’s brilliant ideas will always add a level to Doctor Who, which will be interesting.’

After Gaiman’s last Who episode (The Doctor’s wife) won the 2011 Ray Bradbury Award for Outstanding Dramatic Presentation and the 2012 Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation, how could any Doctor who fan not be excited for the brilliant Neil Gaiman contributing yet again to the upcoming Doctor Who season!?

The read-through for the new episode took place yesterday, on Halloween (how fitting!?). Editor Benjamin Cook (from Doctor Who Magazine) was also present for the read-through and has promised us Whovian’s “Something really special.” !!

Being a long time fan of both Doctor Who and Neil Gaiman, I’m extremely excited to see what he has planned for the Doctor and his new companion played by the talented Jenna-Louise Coleman, who made her first appearance as Oswin, in the ‘Asylum of the Daleks’ episode.

The Pond’s will most definitely be missed by many (how could you not love them!?), but as all the companions do, it was their time to leave the Doctor. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Jenna! We’ll get our first glimpse of her during the Christmas special!

But until then, DON’T BLINK. Blink and you’re dead. They are fast. Faster than you can believe. Don’t turn your back. Don’t look away. And don’t blink. Good Luck 🙂
